What is a 3D model thumbnail generator?
It renders 3D model files into PNG preview images that can be used in asset libraries, product pages, or file organization workflows.
How to generate thumbnails for GLB, GLTF, and STL files
Select your model files, choose the output size, background, and camera angle, then generate PNG thumbnails. Successful results can be downloaded one by one or as a ZIP.
Why local browser rendering?
Commercial 3D assets are often private. This tool reads local files and renders them in your current browser, avoiding upload time and server storage.
Who is this for?
It is useful for 3D asset sellers, indie game developers, ecommerce 3D teams, and 3D printing users who need fast, consistent model previews.
FAQ
Are my files uploaded?
No. The model files, rendering process, and generated PNG images stay in your browser.
Which formats are supported?
The MVP supports GLB, GLTF, and STL. If a GLTF references external .bin or texture files, select those dependencies with the .gltf file or export the model as GLB.
Can I use these images on marketplaces?
You can use them as initial preview images, but each marketplace has its own image and listing requirements.
Why did my model fail to render?
Common causes include unsupported formats, missing external GLTF textures, very large files, unavailable WebGL, or corrupted model files.
Do you support FBX / OBJ?
Not in the first MVP. FBX, OBJ, 3MF, and PLY support will be prioritized from real format requests submitted through the feedback link.
